I’m a fine-art photographer who captures landscapes from my travels around the world. My photography style is grounded, encompassing, and natural. My fine art print shop is a place for me to share my passion for travel, mindfulness, and self-reflection.

About Aly Fickenscher
The Vision
Travel to unknown destinations takes us out of our element and forces us to be present—the novelty provides support in bringing our attention to the moment with more ease, away from the habits and conditions of daily life. This is a gift, but also an opening to bring these experiences back with us to even the most challenging of experiences.
The imagery is designed to help you recall vivid, tangible feelings providing an opening to bring your attention back to the here and now.
Family
Today, I enjoy a wonderful life by the ocean in Biarritz, France with my husband and three kids. However, my journey to fine art photography emerged through a journey of self-discovery.
After a series of difficult life events, I arrived at a place of grief and suffering–living without space from my thoughts, driven by my subconscious. My pain was compounding on everything that life already brings and eventually, I knew I couldn’t continue down this path.
So, through therapy, a supportive family, and finding a brilliant mindfulness teacher, I grew an awareness-based mindfulness practice. By returning to the present moment over and over, I’m learning to accept what is, allow the truth to come forward, and return to a place of conscious choice. This has allowed me to find joy and wonder again.
My shop is a place to share my work in a way that feels real, vulnerable, and truly mine. Through my art, I invite others to walk alongside me on their own journey to finding more space, connection, and joy.
The Creative Process
/ quality /
Aly Fick fine-art landscape photography is created with a deep appreciation for things that will last. All work is printed with heavyweight museum-grade archival Hahnemühle Cotton rag photo paper with archival pigment inks. The printing process creates texture and depth to the image enhancing the sensory experience of the images.
/ connection /
Aly Fick Prints is about more than the fine artwork hung on the wall. My hope is that by sharing stories about and through the artwork, I can create space for others to share theirs as well.

“I rarely search for the photo, I let the photo and the moment find me. Each image has a story and memory, a reminder of the feeling of aliveness felt in that exact moment. Through my work, both textural and sensory, I explore the relationship between stillness and vitality, and invite the viewer along on the journey with me.”
